sorry for being frustrated right now its just that the bottom line is I paid just over 50 bucks to send my amp there for repair, paid 400 even for repair and then 25 for the shipping back to me and the amp was not returned to me working as it was before. I bought this amp for the fact its stable to .5 ohms so i could get the most power possible out of it, I got this amp specifically for that reason so now with the money I spent on the amp and this repair is over 1000 dollars now and from what you guys are saying Im going to have to spend more money on a more powerful amp and not get any type of refund for a failed repair.

You got burned by marketing man...it's easy to make something that looks good and talks the talk..

Very few can walk the walk..

Sorry you thought it would work..it's the difference in a mass marketing that is targeted just like toys and candy is always on the bottom shelf at any major retailer you go to. The 4 year old kid sees the toy..the kid grabs it..throws a fit if he doesn't get it. You saw ".5ohm"..you bought it..and well..it didn't work out so well.

Definitely understand your frustration...but it is a lesson learned.

Try turning the gain down on it when wired at .5 ohm. Had a similar amp that wouldn't like to play music with the same gain setting when wired at 2 ohm's but was ok on burps

I trust that you guys know alot more than me that's why I ask on here but this just sucks I hope I can get maybe half the cost of the repair refunded and they can keep my amp to do what they want with it, the only other thing I'm considering is he said he can bypass the protection circuit but the. What will happen will I just blow fuses like crazy when I try to turn it up?

lookin at your sig you dont have enough batterys to run that low of an ohm load imo. and it dont say what amp your alt is so you may not have enough to back it up. your electrical is everything and that could be the issue. wire it to 2 ohms and see what happens like everybody is tellin you. usually anything below 1 ohm is for comps and not a daily driver. i would find an amp that does the power you want at 2 ohms and you would be much happier

I am going to try it out at 2 ohms but if that works that's un acceptable to me, i got this amp to upgrade from the 2 aq 1200s I had not run it at 2 ohms to get the same power they were putting out. If it still protects maybe it can be fixed. Didn't you just agree with the dude that said get an amp that does the power I want at 2 ohms then I say I may end up getting that and you make a comment like that. I'm going to try and figure this thing out but I would rather spend more money for the power I want then run this amp at 2 ohms. People still seem to ignore what I said to begin with this amp handled .5 ohms for almost 4 months with my voltage not

Going below 13 volts the amp now won't play above half volume at all now it protects instantly not after 5 mins of playing at a high volume it does it as I turn the volume up it has never done that before so to me the amp was not fixed properly

stang - your argument is missing one fact. it was working before. yes it fried for some reason but if its fixed it should work the same as it did before. if it worked the same as before then it would run at .5ohm like it did before it smoked.

i think the opposite about wiring to .5ohm. i think its retarded to wire to 2ohm. 3x imp rise is very common so now you get 6ohm and almost no power. wire to .5, rise to 1.5, perfect. yes the amp has to be built well enough to handle .5ohm but thats just up to the user to buy the correct product.

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.
