ive had mine for a while, never had 1 proublem with it in the back of my explorer. i just put it in my car trunk same subs and everything. but ill play it for a lil bit and it cuts out and goes into protect, after awhile it come back and works fine it does get really hot when it does that so i think it just cools down. does that mean it may have a problem and should i send it in also if jacob couldtell me if i need to and how to go about it and if my shits under warrenty still. thanx

its going into thermal protect, which it's supposed to do when it reaches a determined temperature. so to answer your question, it is doing its job, so no need to send it in for working properly.

question to you is,...has it been hot ambient temp wise? and if so, i imagine your trunk is pretty damn hot inside.

yea sounds like your protect circuit's just doing its job. I'm not sure what the temp is but at a certain temperature the amp will turn it self off to avoid damage. try leaving your backseats down to allow some more air to circulate back there

put some fans in there to help move some air around in there. I am looking at putting a pc cooling system on mine. With two radaitors one outside under the car to get cooled by the air flowing over it and one inside the trunk with an electric fan blowing toward the amp.
