2 DC Audio LVL 5 SPL 18s and the amp is rated at 2000 watts at ohm but the most they have ever clamped out of it at 12 volts is 4200+ watts and I plan on running it at 18 volts eventually.

The car only has 68XXX miles on it :drinks:

Should get loud, box will have 2 ports one for comps tuned to 55-60 hertz, one for daily tuned to 26-28 so I can do some nice hair tricks and give some great demos. The SPL port should get me 159+ on the TL.

You're gonna need about 8-10kw to hit anywhere close to 159.

i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?

No I wont need that much power, this car is for USACi super stock 0-600

Look at the USACi finals results for stock and super stock 0-600 the people you have taken first and second have all be doing a 159's and 160's. All there amps are rated at 600 watts or less at 4 ohms total. Before finals I will be stepping up to 18 volts so I will be seeing 6k plus out of the DB Drive amp.

i would say he might do a 153 to 157 on the meter....

By USACi finals this car will be doing 159+

If my buddy Moose can do a 158.7 with 2 of those subs in a box tuned to 40 hertz (daily box) with out his wall sealed off (which will make cancellation) in a jeep with plastic as the sides and roof, I know I can get a 159+ with a straight burp box. :peepwall:

Here is a link to his build
