craracer05 Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 Ok so Right now I have a rockford t15001bd and t400-4 running three jbl p1222's and jbl high. I have big three, optima red top up front, kinetik 1400 in the rear, and all wired up with kicker 0 guage. At idle i'm at 13.6 volts and when i start pounding on it i drop down to 11.5-11.6 volts. i've been considering multiple things. First i want to lose the red top it sucks. My main concern is whether to get an MLA module and overdrive pulley on the stock alternator or order up at least the 180 amp DC power alternator? 2007 Scion Tc- T1500.1bdcp & t600.4, Three P3D212's Ported at 40hz, T2 6.5" Components, Rockford Marine 8" coax's. Kinetik khc1400 in back, Kicker 0 gauge 1999 Cherokee- Rockford Prime Amps 300.4 & 500.1,Big 3, Rockford 6.5"Comp.s and 6.5" 2ways, 2 12" P2's Ported basic winter beater 2002 Mustang Convt.-T1500.1bd & 400.4, 3 P3D210's IB, JBL components all the way around,Rockford 4 gauge, Big 3, Kinetik khc800 in back

I was going to get the same thing, a 180a from kyle, but i was just like fuck it and bought a 260a instead. 2006 Nissan Z Track. Guest DC Power Kyle Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 Overdrive pulley wont make even a big difference... you just need a bigger alternator to get your voltage drop under control. We can set the alternator at 15 volts and save yourself half the money on the MLA module out of the box with no external regulator and an extremely reliable alternator.
