JZeFF Posted July 25, 2010 Report Posted July 25, 2010 (edited) Okay this is just a quick question that i cant find an answer for... Anyone who has an alpine 9887- When you enter your crossover settings, does everyones have Low/Mid/High Bands? Does anyone have it say Sub/Rear/Front bands? Because i am trying to figure out if my radio is broken... I have the switch on the bottom in the 4.2 channel position, and it still gives me Low/Mid/High instead of Sub/Rear/Front. I thought that when the switch is in the 2.2 (3way) position it would give you Low/Mid/High? Basically i cant get my crossover settings to let me control Sub/Rear/Front... What am i doing wrong? JZeFF Posted July 25, 2010 Author Report Posted July 25, 2010 The switch is on the bottom of the deck? I'm trying to figure out the same thing with my cda-117 There is a switch on the bottom of the deck that has two positions... 2.2 channel, and 4.2 channel. From what i understand 2.2 channel is three way, and when it is in this position you are supposed to have crossover options of Low/Mid/High. And 4.2 channel is supposed to give you Sub/rear/front... My problem is that my switch is in 4.2 and i still have the Low/Mid/High adjustments and not the Sub/rear/front adjustments I dont get it.... tristan560 Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 Well I'm gonna bump it again. I would like to know also. Another thing...do you know if that's the settings for the preouts or for the internal amp itself? Quote 99 Jimmy SLT 4WD Systemless. 99 Grand Prix GTP DC XL 12 on 1.5k tuned lowwwwww.
n8ball2013 Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 i havent played iwth mine at all its still in the box but have you tried to flip the switch after power has been killed to the unit? you may have to unplug it flip the switch and then plug it in. or reset it. i'm wondering if it doesnt recognize the switch being flipped. JZeFF Posted July 26, 2010 Author Report Posted July 26, 2010 Alright, well i just got off the phone with alpine tech support. Turns out the actual settings in the cross-over never change to say Sub/Rear/Front... When in 4.2 the settings are Low=Sub Mid=Rear speakers High=Front speakers Quote Pioneer x930 bt Rockford t2500 bdcp 18" nightshade v1 DC audio 175.4 RF power T162s up front, infinity 3 way 6x9's in the back (removing rear stage and re-doing doors soon) 3x XS power D2700's Knukonceptz 0awg all around
