Blowthrough Question

Is there much of a sound difference between having the whole box coming through in a blowthrough vs just bringing the port in? I realize bringing only the port into the cab would make box tuning different, but does having the subs also in the cab make it any louder?

Basically I'm saying Chode's old blowthrough setup vs Sanitariums blowthrough setup. Not vs. each other, but the setup. Either way I will have 2 subs, just wondering which would be best for loud and moving air.

They are both still a 6th order bandpass box. The volume behind the subs, volume in front of the subs, rear port and front port (where it passes through into the cab) all affect the overall tuning of the box.

I prefer a huge cut.

then shrink it down with finish panels.

also dont like firing them right at each other.

I angle the first 2, also helps get the opening big.

thats what im doing. Im sliding the Whole box right to the opening of the cab to where the box will actually be in there it wont be a 6th order just a regular box
