LSN2meBoom916
I agree somewhat with ya bro but I have always found that if you have less power than you want/need, than a sliightly larger box and port will help the efficiency issues. if you look at my box and steves and some others we are running about half of the reccomended port area for our enclosures but putting alot more power to them. Do I think he needs more port? Yes just because of what he is putting in there. The fact that he is running lower power to the subs is a + factor on top of that. Just my .02 cents worth. Ok -I didn't know you had used brad nails (not a bad idea since they're waay less time consuming than screws) but you're right those would be a b*tch to undo. That said, just make the best of what you have there. The build looks good and well thought out but as the guys have mentioned make sure it fits at every step along the way, just to avoid an unfortunate situation. As far as what roscoe said...i dunno what you thought I meant but we said the same thing in our posts: -with small port, more power would help... -with lower power he might be in ok shape with those "smallish" ports... -but more power and or port would help the efficiencey... -given the smallish ports, lower power levels might lower port velocity and nullify the port noise issues. IH8PunkRok
as far as i see it the ports should be fine however if they turn out to be too small and make alot of noise ill open em up a little and i test fit the pieces today and i actually did find a problem. on the back of the seats there is the carpeting with the plastic in it that makes the funky shapes and contours, u know wut i mean? anyway it seems that that will push the entire box back about two inches (and it causes massive vibrations that sound like shit) so im going to get rid of that ASAP. only a minor setback but the box fits perfectly from the tests i did. the only problem i might need a little help with is mounting the baffle with the subs attached. its gonna be really heavy and flimsy, but i should have three people there so we might be fine gonna try and get work done today and get some more pics up -Matt2005 Dodge Magnum RTJVC KD-AVX1 2 PPI S580.2 Obsidian Audio ST1 Horn Tweeters PRV 8MB450s Audio Legion 3500.1D 2 RE MT 18s 360 ah LiFePO4 BatterySHCA 2/0 155.2 @ 29 hzKicker CVR 15's buildDD 3512e buildMini T-Line Build(6) 8s BuildNightshade 15s Wall BuildMagnum AB XFL 12s BuildNewest Magnum Build
IH8PunkRok
ok this will give u guys a taste of how im mounting my subs it loox kinda cool. and u might notice that the cut out is a little bit too big (oops ) well its just big enough that the holes are going to be really hard to use. so i came up with another idea i put one on just to see how well it holds and i think eight of them would hold me so i think my subs will stay in place -Matt2005 Dodge Magnum RTJVC KD-AVX1 2 PPI S580.2 Obsidian Audio ST1 Horn Tweeters PRV 8MB450s Audio Legion 3500.1D 2 RE MT 18s 360 ah LiFePO4 BatterySHCA 2/0 155.2 @ 29 hzKicker CVR 15's buildDD 3512e buildMini T-Line Build(6) 8s BuildNightshade 15s Wall BuildMagnum AB XFL 12s BuildNewest Magnum Build

IH8PunkRok
todays work not alot just mounting the brackets and cuttin some stuff out for clearance issues and mounting up the baffle doesnt look like alot of work but it took a couple hours. its all that precision stuff that takes forever. u guys know how it is a couple more days of cutting and sanding and painting and it should be ready to put in the trunk -Matt2005 Dodge Magnum RTJVC KD-AVX1 2 PPI S580.2 Obsidian Audio ST1 Horn Tweeters PRV 8MB450s Audio Legion 3500.1D 2 RE MT 18s 360 ah LiFePO4 BatterySHCA 2/0 155.2 @ 29 hzKicker CVR 15's buildDD 3512e buildMini T-Line Build(6) 8s BuildNightshade 15s Wall BuildMagnum AB XFL 12s BuildNewest Magnum Build
