King Zick
I bout a sheet of MDF for 18 bucks at my local lumber yard. Took it home and stored it in my Uncle's barn. A month and a half later I come back and it is sitting outside. I asked me uncle how long it has been sitting out in the rain and he said about a month. I told him that MDF doesn't hold up very well to moisture. (It was raining the past few weeks). He replied "oh bullshit, it won't hurt it any." I go and look at the MDF and it looks exactly how it did when I bought it. No swelling or anything. Is it still safe to use or should I buy a new sheet? Quote The King. raolito1980
If its been sitting in rain maybe you should just buy another sheet. It could get brittle. 7jezuz7
Make a cut or two to test it out if you can, and I would use it. Sounds like it's in great conditions. You'd know if it wasn't good any more. I've had MDF water damage and its not pretty one bit. EDIT: Just to mention MDF price, here it's about 35 something with taxes already Edited July 29, 2010 by 7jezuz7 Quote An Audio Technix 18" Strato on a Kicker KX120.2 My Youtube Bass Vids Updates When Possible... It's dirt cheap around here. I can get a 1 inch thick sheet for 25 bucks. Quote The King.
