OK ..SO I JUST GOT MY SUNDOWN SA8 DUAL 4 OHM IN THE MAIL...LETS JUST SAY IT BUMPS IN MY OLD BOX BUILT FOR A KICKER L5 10 INCH... MADE IT FIT LOL. OK NOW I ORDERED THE SUB AS I WANT IT FOR MIDBASS BECAUSE MY COMPONENTS AINT CUTTIN IT AND MY 18 REALLY DOESN'T LIKE TO PLAY HIGH NOTES VERY WELL. WHAT TYPE OF BOX SHOULD I PUT IT IN AND ALSO WHERE SHOULD I PUT IT.. i HAVE A 96 YUKON 4DOOR. IT WILL BE ON A PLANET AUDIO 350.2 BRIDGED AT 2 OHMS SO 350 WATTS TO THE LITTLE 8. ALSO MY SUB IS CROSSED OVER AT 100 HZ IF THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE.

so you want to run a single SA8 upfront and have it playing up into the midbass region, did i get that right?

That's a sealed box obviously and inside it's much smaller than it looks as it's glassed over expanding foam leaving just enough room for the magent and a couple inches behind it for ventilation

I'd try crossing it over at 250-300  pending where it comfortably meets your current frontstage. the 18 you have -  i would lower the LPF to 63 or even 55

.75 sealed is pretty big. That's about the recommended ported size.

For sealed he recommends .3 cubes I think.
