Makes it easier to wire multiple subs.

i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?

some monoblocks are to make it easier to wire it up, but then you get a monoblock like the AP30001d and it is actually a 2 channel, because its 2 monoblock 1500s strapped internally

Oh. Ok. Ive always wondered about that. So all i would do is just wire them to the + on one channel and the - on the other and bam, thats monoblock amp status?

Yes, it's connected internally so its still only one channel. Theres more than one pair of output terminals for ease of wiring.

does it act as a series or paralell connection when you connect two speakers to the terminals?

You may be offended by the above. Don't take it personally, I'm just abrasive.

Its how ever you wire them up. They are the same connection they just appear as two.

Parallel.

Meaning if you wire 2 D1 subs in series then connect both positives and negatives to the amp you will be at 1 ohm.
