EclipseChris
Update is non visual today, so i'm posting it here. Friday i ordered a 140a alt, and less than an hour and a half later i got an email with a shipping code. Cannot complain about that, but im a lil worried... it said 140a, but it was bragging about "being capable of 65a at idle" but never saying anything about how or where it reaches 140a and i have no idea how to test it. Any help? i resolve to be a nicer moderator. Tercel build R.I.P. Eclipse build Old New V-Dub My feedback.

Any help? after markets alts are known for having terrible idle ratings, when looking for a HO alt, dont worry about the say (275 amp) rating, worry more about the idle rating, that 140a is only gonna be @ 2k rpm.. stock alts have the best idle ratings, you can have a 350amp alt but it could have a 100amp @ idle, mechman has a nice alt thats like 200@ idle which is really good. I don't mind revving for demos, and its a daily so i'm only gonna turn it up if im driving or demoing. And it was the cheapest thing i could find that didn't involve me getting (my only alt for the car i need everyday) my alt rebuilt. i resolve to be a nicer moderator. Tercel build R.I.P.
