2000LaDe Posted August 10, 2010 Report Share Posted August 10, 2010 just thought it was a lot of equipment and i know hank knows what he is doing we have a guy on our team doing a 159 below 30hz with 10 15s (dd2500s) on 1 amp (dd puttin out about 9000) and it is not at the b piller eather seat 6 ppl? but honestly im not trying to be the loudest out there. i enjoy this build ALOT and so has EVERYONE that has seen it. yet to not have 1 impressed. ive had a vehicle that could bassrace a 161 but it is not nearly as impressive as this truck. the truck wasnt built for numbers by no means but when u set in it or near it you will get the full effect. i like being able to play every note in any song there is loud. which is why i designed it the way i did. turn it up for minutes and minutes full tilt at whatever frequency i want and not have to sweat it. IMO, bassracing a 61 is wayyy more impressive than a tank. just gets irritating when people seriously expect a 160 out of a crew cab f350 behind c pillar port at top at 30hz with less than 11kw clamped power. its the people that dont really understand how difficult it is to reach 160 let alone with that much cabin and that little power at the frequency i play at. ive had a van that did mid 162s and it took 8 memphis 4kws at b pillar with 12 15s. obviously there are more efficient designs out there at b pillar than the one i had in my van. just gotta get all the nonbelievers near or in my truck when i full tilt mid 20hz so they can cream themselves Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
fecupe2001 Posted August 10, 2010 Report Share Posted August 10, 2010 Naaa, i totally understand him, i compete here on bass race with the sexplorer, that thing hit over 151 dbs on the first test and i haven´t play even with tuning, i built her for bass race/spl and some demos, on the other hand, i built the swift for hairtricks, it´s way more impressive but i always get the same stupid comment, that thing must score at least 153 on the TL!!! i mean, WTF? a box with small port area and 32 hz tuning way underpowered?? i could have built it for numbers but i didn´t, depends on the person i guess, he had a 161 bass race car and now he doesn´t care about numbers, main thing is that he´s happy with the car wether we like it or not I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains.
