flashlight_65 Posted August 8, 2010 Report Posted August 8, 2010 I plan on running 4 aq3500's in the future but 2 for now my question is do I set them both to master and y split them to my 3sixty and then use 4 y splitters when I get the other amps or can I set one as the master and the rest as slaves gain match them and use the outputs for the inputs of the other amps? UnderLoK Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 I don't know the details on this amp, but generally when you see a socket of some sort for the master/slave relationship that cable carries the signal as well as takes care of gain matching (in the master/slave). I had a question about the 3500 and when I asked they spent about 100 words explaining the electrical I would need and didn't answer my question... haha I run 2 XXX's strapped. All you do is setup the subs in a 2ohm load. Take positive sub to positive MASTER then negative sub to positive SLAVE then run a cable from negative MASTER to negative SLAVE. After that just run their cable between the amps and double check that the MASTER/SLAVE switch is set correctly and hook your bass knob to MASTER as well as adjust the settings on the master (again the AQ could be a little different but that is normally how it works). How many subs that are hooked to the amp doesn't matter, amps just care about the load, at least from what I know... TBH I really should have gotten 2 of those AQ's instead but I got a killer deal which while cheap, I want more power now Oh well... REaudioBuff Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 if there is a switch on the amp for slave/master then put one on master and you should be able to like daisy chain the others after that and they should all be equal on gains.
