RF T2 Recone Available ?

Hi There, I am new with the idea of car audio and classify myself a "noob".

I had a RF T2 that I seized completely.. and I was wondering if anyone could tell me is there a way to recone the subwoofer? to fix it or is it just a 30lb paper weight.

What happened was my friend bought the system brand new .. then became broke and pawned it.. well iwatched the pawnshop until they put it on sale and then I snuck in and purchased the 2000w rf power amp aswell as the two RF t2 1000w rms subwoofers.. well after purchasing i took it into a custom audio store in canada called " Autosound Plus " well after I was charged 900 to install my system to my bmw e30 I noticed it was considerably lower bass then it was in my buddies truck! .. so i went back .. bla bla bla.. well i left furious .. and he never told me anything that was of help.. well after I played the music for a while i ended up seizing the subwoofer and only one but after that i took it in and someone told me my box was made for these old 200watt soundstream subwoofers and had barely 2 cu.ft or something arather.

Short version:

I blew my subwoofer i was told from the box being too smal lthe sub worked so hard but i never heard the bass cause the box was wayy to small.

I was just wondering if it was possible to fix it by recone and or if it would be worth it or should I start saving for some new audio.

I was quoted around 400 to recone the t2 i had and it was too much for me. I think it would be better to do some reserch and start looking at other options.

Contact Rockford Fosgate for a recone kit for a T2 sub.

try asking foreverbumpin on here. iirc he was able to recone some RF subs but not sure which ones. or fixmyspeaker.com i think what it was for another place to try

Fixmyspeaker had no experience with the t2 and I could not find someone here to recone a t2 just the t1.

just a suggestion just use 1 sub and build the rigt box for just one. im not sure how much space you have.

What I was wanting to do was remove my back seats and have some sort of enclosure that basically was in replacement of the seats.

I want to also cut out a piece of plexiglass and go get a tribute design made up and laser etched into it aswell place LED's that change colors.

I have really as much space as I need cause im really open to anything as my car is basically only used for summer its not my daily driver ..

and its in work to becoming a nice ride. www.projecttractionzero.tk is my car. but its always UNDER work.

Yeah like you said its pretty expensive to recone the t2. for that price id rather save and purchase a 18" RE and build a wall.
