I was driving home the other night and all of a sudden my system shut off completely, i got home and was thinking my circuit breaker must have been tripped, but it never actually tripped, sooo i have a dead system i have my main power hooked up to a cap, is it possible my cap went bad and that is causing my system not to work?

and yes i know caps arent good im getting rid of it and never using them again lol

did you check for a blown voice coil?? or how about testing the leads for power?

Ive blown a total of 5 woofers in my car from bad grounds and everything. check all your stuff and if your positive and negs are working fine, check your remote wire from your headunit to the amp and make sure it isnt grounding out on the chassis or anything. sounds to me like something somewhere is shorting out. if possible ONLY after you checked the power, rca, remote turn ons, and subwoofer voice coil impedance; try another known good amp.

Let me know how it goes. im good at telling where things screw up. hahaa. been there done that all before :P
