ny4rick Posted August 13, 2010 Author Report Posted August 13, 2010 There´s something called impedance rise wich is a bitch!!! Also, voltage drops, so after you start with 1000 watts you´ll see 500 watts at the most if you are a "noob" as you claim you are, wich i don´t think by the way!!! You have small power and that allows you to build a much bigger box, 1.6 per sub is kind of a burp box with tons of power haha. Like orion said, i would get 10 cubic feet after displacement, subs up/port back with a 35 hz tuning, that should play very nice lows Quote
ny4rick Posted August 13, 2010 Author Report Posted August 13, 2010 ok, 10 cubic feet. But what size ports? one chamber or 4? and add 2 more 1000/1 or not? Quote
OrionStang Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 I say one chamber, add the amps, and measure how much space you have (h,d,w) so we can help design the box. Quote SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
fecupe2001 Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 common chamber, i would just sell those amps and buy a single one for the subs, much easier to fit on any space, less wires, etc etc, i would get 2 8" aeroports for that box Quote I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. OrionStang Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 8" Aero ports, good call. Quote SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

ny4rick Posted August 13, 2010 Author Report Posted August 13, 2010 I can do 38" high (max), 50" wide(max) and the depth is as deep as I want Quote
fecupe2001 Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 8" Aero ports, good call. Thank you, glad we are on the same path I can do 38" high (max), 50" wide(max) and the depth is as deep as I want Damn, that´s big!!! Well, recommending something very fast because i have to go, i would get 19" H x 48W x 28D with 2 Aeroports about 13" long, that would give you around 10 cubic feet after displacement with a 35 hz tuning, this is using 1" thick MDF... OrionStang Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 You can use the same as measurements Fecupe said with .75" mdf and a double baffle. Quote SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
