Right now, I have my sights on either the Fi Q, SSA XCON, or RE XXX (54mm Xmax!). I'm having a tough time deciding on which sub to go with. My last sub, an old Image Dynamics IDMAX12V2D2 blew the tinsel leads right through the spider. Please help! Has anyone actually tried any of these subs? What did you think? Thanks for your time! Socky Posted August 14, 2010 Report Posted August 14, 2010 I would say the SSA Xcon, they are rated at 1750rms, therefore they will last forever with a clean signal of 1500rms. Plus if you wanted it could handle more power and its cheaper than the XXX. Stronger than the Fi Q. Just my opinion. infinity Posted August 14, 2010 Report Posted August 14, 2010 im thinking the FI Q because it is made for quality It can easily handle 1500rms...Just get the cooling option. And since your using a sealed box, get high QTS. That means that you can use it for sealed enclosures.

notorious97200 Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 Get the Xcon. You will love it sealed, or ported. I run mine in a 2.9 cu ft sealed box on a sundown saz 1500, and It is incredible. So much clarity, and output. The fi Q is a good driver, like the Icon( xcon's little brother). Can't compare to the Xcon. The xxx is way to expensive ! IMO I don't have that kind of money for a single sub. Be careful with the gain, you can burn another sub. even if the xcon is built like a tank! black BMW X1 2.0 l 192 hp OEM head unit, Amplifiers : Audison AP 8.9 with integrated DSP and Ampere Audio 1200. Focal ES 100 K in front doors, and Dayton RS 180 for midbass under the front seats. 2 SSA DEMONS 10" subs, in a sealed box. SecondSkin Damplifier on front doors, and Luxury Liner Pro for the cargo area.
