are you looking for speakers you can buy locally and hear before you purchase? or just something you can actually buy stateside?

Since were on the subject of DLS, what is your opinion of the Iridium 6.3i 3ways?

Pretty kick ass, typical DLS sound, warm while still being reasonably detailed.

The dome mid pwns face, if I'm honest.

How about just shear volume can they still get loud?

I would encourage you to check out Image Dynamics. I have a set of their cheapest components, and they sound great. I can only imagine what their higher-end comps sound like. Only problem is they have a pretty deep mounting depth requirement. DLS, Rainbow, Dynaudio, CDT, Morel, Focal. Check those brands out as well.
