Ok..... try this

1.Get a hammer and what ever screwdriver your using

2. Put the screw driver in the screw

3. Then get the hammer and tap the top of the screw driver a few times (Mid-power)

4. Then quickly turn

Should work. B)

as mentioned above, hammer the butt end of the screwdriver but while simultaneously trying to unscrew the screw

next time you could use an impact driver. its basically whats been described (a big screwdriver) except its designed to turn when hit at the ass end with the hammer. turns with as much as 200 ft.lb of torque. there not that expensive either, around 20-25 bucks from home depot.
