LT.Smoke Posted August 21, 2010 Report Share Posted August 21, 2010 Ok so im fuckin stumped....I want to be a Marine which that in itself is all well and good but my problem lies in the fact that i have been talkin to an Army Recruiter because i could not get a hold of the Marine recruiter.. So i finally got back in touch with him yesterday..Where my problem now lies is the fact that half of my family is Army and the other half is Marine.. And i get the biased opinions on which is better from both opposing sides..I have not signed anything for the Army except for my information...And every time i go out of my way to go the office there is always some extra papers needed or some other BS excuse for something that comes up so damnit im like AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I guess in short im asking WTF should I do???? All re-enlistments have been stopped until the new fiscal year, October 1st, so the recruiters are stalling to keep you around until then so they can get you in. Don't know about the Marines on this. Ji553r Posted August 21, 2010 Report Share Posted August 21, 2010 theres alot to look at though is that the only goal you have? i thought you already were set to leave to Army basic?so far the way i see it is that being the Marine you get the pride and confidence like no other and everything but basic will be the hardeest. my girlfriends dad was army and he was able to do a bunch of extra stuff outside of his mos like parachute pistol qual scuba diving. with me i work over half the day and since its the military evrything good closes at 1600 but i have to PT anyway so all i do is work and learn my job and thats it until i get around E-6 and i can make my own schedule I don't fuck around.
