corteznewbie Posted August 25, 2010 Report Share Posted August 25, 2010 i'm have some problems. every time i run my system for bout 20 min my subs give off that o crap smell. gains were set with dmm with 50 hz tone cross overs are set at 80hz and bass boost on deck is at one and 0 on amp and i rain my tunes threw mp3 gain and it said it took the clipping out. and only no no i have so far is a prefab box would a bad amp cause that Quote Team DBs (Driven By sound) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

R_Mac_1 Posted August 25, 2010 Report Share Posted August 25, 2010 Setting the gain with a DMM doesn't mean your amp isn't clipping. The only way to truly tell is using an Oscope. Try backing the gain down a hair and see if it helps.
