funky smell

i'm have some problems. every time i run my system for bout 20 min my subs give off that o crap smell. gains were set with dmm with 50 hz tone cross overs are set at 80hz and bass boost on deck is at one and 0 on amp and i rain my tunes threw mp3 gain and it said it took the clipping out. and only no no i have so far is a prefab box would a bad amp cause that

the mp3 gain programs claims to put all songs at album volumes to prevent clipping. only other thing i can thing of is the amp. i run the volume at 25 out of 63 so i'm far from pushen it

bout a month old but i never really beat on them cuz i'm running a 41hz prefab box. it started when i set the gain with the 50h hz tone should i retry with 60hz

no, the subs might just be burning off the glue. but get rid of that prefab and build a good box.

CA glue and coil smell is WAY different, glue is a sweet smell and coil is just THAT smell.

i will once my collar bone is better. but i felt the cones and they were rather warm to the touch. and i'm thinken of getten a 33hz box from ssa

Setting the gain with a DMM doesn't mean your amp isn't clipping. The only way to truly tell is using an Oscope. Try backing the gain down a hair and see if it helps.

i dont have access to a scope. and i been backen the gain back lil by lil and its not a sweet smell
