"I was driving home but I wasn't" What does that mean?

So my subs were smelling bad so I took them to a local shop and had them adjust the settings on my headunit and amp and got it back and it sounded better than ever but I was driving home later tonight and I wasn't. Going full out but loud enough to feel and of course the dreadful smell of voice coil I smell so I turn it down and when I got home I checked them and they weren't smoking or anything so I feel them and one is warmer than the other what should I do or how could I fix

ipod entered random ....... lol

draw a picture on paint and show how you have the subs wired from each sub to each other to the box to connect to the amp.

... do you only have one voice coil hooked up on each sub?

take a little bit of time to make a pic some one can understand. 2 boxes representing 2 subs and an amp doesnt make sense. and all the lines coming together like that with no color difference is damn hard to figure out.

pics like that make olli lang cry.

Do you have an Alpine type r dual 4 ohm or dual 2 ohm. And as skittlesRgood said..... Do you only have 1 voice coil hooked up? Because alpine type r's have dual coils

Edit: From my understanding you have dual 4 ohm...Because you said you have it wired to 1 ohm

Try wiring it like this ------>how to wire your subs at 1 ohm (the first one)
