im running a 1990 honda accord

15" rockford fosgate p2 subwoofer

1200w nitro amp.

the sub sounds like its blow out but the lights on the amp dim as it hits. so i replace the wire with a 6 guage and it jsut went out agian after hard bumping. what acould be the cause of this?

your wire went out? upgrade wiring to at least 4gague... and you are having electrical issues

Sounds like your electrical is going out. Your battery might not be getting properly charged. Try to do as Red Navi, and upgrade to 4 gauge. Your alternator could be going out. Its got some age.

definitely go for bigger power wire. But otherwise you should be fine. Personally I wouldn't consider it necessary to upgrade the alt or get another battery unless of course you are dropping to some terribly low voltage.
