4 8" = 32" of cone area?

2 15" = 30" of cone area?

maybe I don't understand how cone area works?

I'm assuming it has to do with the radius of the cone? If that's the case, then yes the 2 15s would have more area

I'd go with 8's cause people would be amazed at how loud 8's can actually get...that's just me though...

You shouldn't design it that way, unless their far apart, you might get cancellation from the cones being so close
