Would this be safe?

Currently I run a Soundstream DTR2200.1D on my BTL 18". I have a Yellowtop under the hood and my Big 3 done, with stock alternator. I have no voltage issues at all with my DTR running at 2 ohms and a Alpine MRP-F450, my question being would it be safe to drop my DTR to .5 ohms with the electrical I have or should I hold off until I get a new alt or another batt.

Well, first off I'm not sure that amp is .5 stable, but you also failed to mention what size alt you have in there now, and current listening habits. Most amps once you hit .5 they get a bit power hungry.

.5 is not wise fro daily driving

i doubt you have the power to run a .5. you could run that daily if you had enough power, but if you're dipping in the 11's then dont.

Only the 3400 is 0.5 ohm stable. So no, don't do it.
