DC Level 3 15's (2) vs DC Level 4 18 (1)

The question is should I order 2 Level 3 15's? or 1 Level 4 18? I know 2 15's would have more cone area but I need some other opinions.

I can build literally any box that needs to be built for them. I have an entire wood shop at my disposal.

I'll be powering them with a Soundstream Stealth 1200.D at 1 ohm so around 1200 watts rms.

Opinions would be great!

i am currently running two lvl4 15's with lvl 5 coils, and my buddy is running to lvl3 15's, personly if it were me i would do the two 15's.i think they would be a good match for the power your running plus as you said that would give you more cone area i also think the one 18 would work but that lvl4 18 would want more power to make it come alive.

For just having 1200watts i'd go with the 1 18".

do you even know what your talking about??? here maybe i should direct you to the site so you can look at the specs. http://www.dcsoundlab.com/specs.html look at the rms for the level 3's there 600 rms a piece which would work out great with what amp he has. yes the level 4 says 1000 rms but really you can throw 1500-2k rms at it with no issues. as was said in another post the level 4 would need more power to get it going. were not talking bout jl or rf here.

I'd love a box design if your willing to. It's going in a 1986 BMW 325.

I'm leaning toward the 2 15's. In the future when I have money I'm going to just wall it off behind the B pillar :santa:.

If I can fit them in my trunk that would be awesome!

Thanks for the opinions guys!
