Sounds good enough to proceed with the bodywork so stay tuned foe more pics.

Note:

The middle sub is a year older than the other 2 so if I cant find another one that matches the 2 I might even invert the middle one.

Or I might even lightly airbrush the cones the same color that im doing the truck so you cant tell that they aren't the same.

Finally a teaser pic of the paint.

FYI the tan line is just masking tape

I'm also adding a ghost logo kinda like the 454SS models but mine will be a 383 version.

So once its finished should look like

I just need to fid the perfect font.

So if you know of a sick looking font please let me know.

teaser pic... <_<

now post the real pics lol

is that black and silver/light brown?

haha, its not done yet I only painted the bed to see If I liked the color or not.

The top color is a custom made pewter that I mixed myself, Its got a ton of pearl but the camera just cant seem to pick it up.

I love 2 tone paint jobs on them trucks, Going to look like what i wanted.

I was going to do my 1st gen s10 gun metal grey on top and satin black on the bottom. Most shops discourage the use of flat and glossy paints together, But all the samples where dead sexy.

Looks good so far bro!!!

Keep up the good work.

I think the only issue of using both satin and glossy is that you get that hard line separating the two colors, otherwise I would've gone that rout too.

and thanks for the kind words..

I like seeing old school red oxide primer :( Loving that pewter color, I'm sure the camera does it NO justice. I bet it looks tits in person.

I also like the oxide color but I think this color makes it much easier to see the high/low spots.

I just dont mind the regular grey/white and black primers, too plain for my taste.

And yeah I used my phone to take the pics so you know they arent that great.

Believe it or not your avatar pic has motivated me to put in work on my truck, being that you are one of the few that has a full size shortbed on the forum. Why dont you have a build thread for it?

I'm gonna run 2 sets of wheels(not at the same time)lol

I will completely black out the 22" rims that are on the truck on all the pics above.

And I will also run a set of chrome 24's that I mocked up earlier today.(see below)
