Alright I'm fairly sure I will be Doing 2 270 amp alts from mechman with the switch to control how much volts the battery sees. If I just use xs d3100 I will hopefully be around 14.7 - 15 volts what could I do to get more out of it or maybe get a stable flow at 15 - 17 volts. Or maybe its all good just leaving it that way.

It will be for 2 4500 watt amps subs will be set to .5 each. Each amp will have 2 batts d3100

id say after 15 volts on your car you run the risk of frying your cars stock electrical components, you would have to do a step-down wiring system on everything except your audio

^^^ check this diagram out for wiring in step-downs for a high volt system.

If you run 14v batteries and a 14v setup (should actualy charge and run at about 15-16volts) you "should" be ok with the stock electrical and your truck stock electronics should be ok. If you want to run 16v batts. (17-18+ volts charged) it's honestly not worth the money to do so. I think you still want a VCM so give nathan a message or call and talk to him about what he recommends. The d1400 is a 14v battery. The d1600 is a 16 volt battery. They are both rated for about 3,000 watts rms a battery.
