josemolina2008 Posted September 6, 2010 Report Posted September 6, 2010 Quick question guys, I've got three JL W3's two are Dual 2ohm and one is dual 4ohm. What I want to know is if I wire the two dual 2's in series and then the dual 4 in parallel and hook them up to a mono block would my final impedance be 1ohm? I'm still trying to figure this impedance stuff out so any help would be welcome. 2 12" JL Audio W3's, Sealed box, Quantum Audio QB1500d
Guest Posted September 6, 2010 Report Posted September 6, 2010 dont use the dual 4 one. dual 4 will move differently than the dual 2's. stick with the dual 2 woofers.

Listen If you are trying to put different ohm subs on the same amp, You need to know your electrical mathematics. This will not work cause the dual 4 ohm sub will have way too much power if you wire it the way you want...And the only other way to wire it would cause the sub to be way underpowered...Throw away the dual 4 and just run the dual 2s...... bassl0va Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 If you just use only the two 2 ohm ones (which you should) you will be able to get either 0.5, 2 or 8 ohms.
