ROBLN460 Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 alright guys so i just got my self a 15'' RE audio HC subwoofer realy lice driver at 1200W RMS DVC 2 ohms for only 150$!! only thing is its got minor scuffs on the surround and is quite broken in already how ever everything alse works flawless ohms are stable and donst smell at all, now comes the Question! i wanna recone it, whom besides PSI makes recones for this woofer? and is there any other company out there such as FI, DC audio and so on whoms cone will fit my basket and motor?

Using other brands probably isn't the best idea. I know Fi will build a recone. I have 2 RE HC 15's that have been reconed to Fi. You can upgrade them to handle around 1500 wrms with a flat wound coil and extra spider. I got the recone upgrade with new basket, new push terminals, and 3 oz. Bottle of glue. For $140 shipped you just have to call Scott or Nick at acsendant audio. They are are also the guys who make Fi audio.

This, had a 18 HC, LOVE IT. i got my recone (integrated tensils) for 115 shipped(unless prices went up). the owner of Fi was the owner of RE and is very familiar with that model. How do the Japanese feel about bass?You know that since 03/11/11 Progene? I just saw that stuff on CNN.
