Chamois
Your sure? I could get 3 of those for like $240 shipped .. Would they perform better than Hifonics? Cuz i can get Hifonics for half the cost Quote 2006 Saab 9-3 2.0T
TeamHT
You get what you pay for. For budget subs I live the championships. And they sound great while getting down Quote Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
Chamois
I'll consider them, they look nice .. What about the Power Accoustik Fubar 12" subs? They look really nice for the price, and thoughts on those? Quote 2006 Saab 9-3 2.0T
iKidwell
i'd go for the championships as well, but if not them, at $100/sub you're somewhat limited, if you can find type r's for that price look into them ( i have 1 for sale $80) or look for some of memphis' cheaper stuff. Quote c'mon now, if i was shooting an 8 year old, it wouldnt be MY 8 year old. i recently got a Pyle PL1590BL and i was building an enclosure for it tuned to 25 hz. i didn't have any tools to cut a circle so i hit it with a big hammer. 2003 Infiniti G35 Sport Sedan Build in Progress
Chamois
Well CVRs are 75 new .. I just don't want them .. Just saying I'm not that limited in options .. Alot of subs are under 100, just need advice on ones that will actually take 350rms daily .. What's wrong with the Fubar 12"? Or does nobody have experience? TeamHT
I did not like the fubars when i installed them on another persons budget build. Those championships though will take that 350 so easily. I built a nice setup for a customer running about 1100 watts rms daily. The best budget sub ever in my opinion. Of get the hifis before the fubars Quote Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
TeamHT
And some information you forgot, box specs? Quote Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
bassHZ
yeah just keep in mind voltage drop and all that so most likely its not going to be 350 exactly and i would go for the champions if didnt get the cvrs i just like how the cvr's look
Chamois
Box specs are like 1.25 per chamber .. I will consider the championships, I just want deep bass .. Are the Hifonics subs any good? Cuz 3 of them for like $100 bucks seems like a nice deal, but I want deep bass, and hope they will take the power im giving them .. My other decission was RE REX12D4 .. But those are only rated at 175rms, i would be giving them double the RMS .. EDIT: My Amp is rated at 1275rms @ 2 ohms, so i think at 2.67 ohms it should still be around 1k Edited September 9, 2010 by Chamois Quote 2006 Saab 9-3 2.0T
wfw5607
ya go with the pioneers they sound good and will handle the power you have to give them plus they are in your price range (i personally would go with CVRs but u dont want them to each his own) Quote Build in progress Alpine CDEHD-138BT Alpine SPX-17PRO 2x Alpine SWS-15d2 2x Alpine PDX-V9 2x Alpine PDX-M12 Stinger SPC5050 Stinger 1/0ga and 4ga Audioquest interconnects and Speaker wire Dynomat 10455 mega bulk pak Dynomat 1/8 and 1/4 liner All that in a Reg cab truck and it wont be a blow though
