Mounting question

I was messing around in my blazer today, and i am waiting on my amp to come in before I put everything in. Anyways i was looking around and the place i wanted to mount my amp would require either the rcas or the power to be run more than needed. I was wondering if I could mount the amp on the top of my box? I know that people say it isnt good to do, but i was thinking that i would put rubber washers under each of the mounting feet. Let me know what you think.

You should be fine man... Mine is mounted to my box with shims and rubber feet between the amp and the box... Protects the amp and lets a little air flow behind the amp.

well the box is solid, but i think i may still do rubber washers to get it off of the box a little. Also just for the peace of mind.
