yea i was talking to my supplier, and he is offering me a fucking great deal on the raw parts, if i can get a minimum order for parts of 15 units i can do a introductory price of 15 dollars a unit plus shipping with a free RCA pass through upgrade (usually would cost $1) more ordered less i can charge

we used to do that way back in the mid 90's, but we did it slightly different way. by looking at the way your doing, im guessing a line driver would be optimal to get the pre-out voltage back up since your adding so much more resistance to the signal......... have you check it with a dmm to see just how much resistance your box adds?

also, playing with the pre-out grounds is like playing with fire. ie - loose amplifier ground, amp trying to ground back through rcas, dead outputs on head unit because of it.......
