2000LaDe
ok i decided to go ahead and try to wire this up to 16v in my truck. i flipped the dip switches where they are supposed to go. 1 and 5 on. so i turned on the truck and i couldnt get the voltage to go up at all. i relayed everything like it said but still no luck. so i go ahead and wire it up to my 12v system and changed the dip switch for 12v and it worked just fine. i could adjust the voltage where i wanted it. to me it doesnt make any sense. i cant say its a defective product yet but right now i dont understand why its not working on 16v but it is on 12v. i tried 2 different relays so thats not the issue. someone here that has wired a vcm to a 16v setup plz help. this shits gay haha. 2000LaDe
trying something with DC Power 270xp alternator. it has a GM regulator not a ford. pretty sure they said its been done before this way but we'll find out. at least in 12v mode it works. just cant figure out why 16v mode isnt. 2000LaDe
Hey so I measured the sense wire coming from the vcm. On 12v mode it reads 14.6 with real battery voltage at 15.1v. On 16v mode it read 11.1v with battery voltage at 18v and dropping because I had just turned off the charger
Nathan @ XSpower
Only way the VCM will work with Fords is if you are running a separate alternator that is not connected through the stock electrical.
