I had a build thread on here, but that was along time ago. So here is a few build pics and finished. The Hifonics in the pics fried along time ago. Replaced it with AQ3500.

well no lie this does got me thinkin but u have any problems with it tho?? bracing or anything i like it how bout sound deandner u still had to put it in any new areas??? i just wish sumone made a build with alot of pix and vidz to see how its done

you should fine just make sure you tie the rear deck in to the box so it becomes one piece , there are a few pic of how i did it , its not that bad the hard part is the finishing , just making the trim pieces look good thats the time consuming part, you dont want big lump in you glass work. if you decide to do it , i will be more than happy to help you out..

I didn't like that third brake light so I replaced it with a LED light bar along the bottom of the window. The box is 7.5 ft3 tuned to 32hz and after 1.5" Ply sides and baffle and .75" glass bottom, the entire box is just under 10ft3. The first box I built for the BTL was all mdf like yours and weighed a ton and took up most of the trunk. You gain alot of air space by glassing the bottom. Your build looks great really like the SS placard. Do you ever gwt on SS forum?

All I know on Impala's the flat part of the rear deck is't very stuctural and can cut out. I stayed away from cutting the trunk lid supports and the structural metal where the rear window attach's. And do what Moto said and build the box so it helps tie everything together and fill with expanding foam.
