1996 impala ss with 2 15" in rear deck lid

I started this build a few months ago , i have been taking so pics along the way , the build consist of 2-15" 5000 watts and a ton of hours , this is one of my most exciting builds , i have never seen a impala built this way , so here it is,

here i started to tear out the old system

next is to cut out the rear dash , this in looking in from the car to the trunk

this was a three piece box , so i could fit it in the car

next is to put the box together

dont forget your bracing ,

box is done , now its time to put on all the finishing touches

now its time to finish the trim pieces on the back dash , this is looking from the inside of the car ,

put some black vinyl down ,

in the next few pics i had to secure the rear dash to the box making sure there was no leaks or flexing in the dash .

its time now to build a frame so i can glass the trim ring , i am going to use the stock carpet in the back and make big trim ring ...

ok heres what i did i cut the stock rear dash carpet out and then resined it, that why i had a hard base to work with , i needed to attach a piece of fleece from the stock rear carpet to the wood frame that i made , i cut a notch in the resined carpet so that when i stapled it there would be no high spots , i really hate sanding lol it works great ..
