lucky178
I don't know how to post the video directly so i posted it on youtube. Can anyone tell me how to fix this if at all. I contacted the seller, He wants me to go to a licensed audio shop to verify it is not operational and he will need documentation that i did. Is the magnet just glued to the Sub frame? is it fixable? Even if temporary.
Hugh G. Rection
unless you purchased if from a authorized dealer, your probably screwed unless the seller offered you a warranty personally. Quote Owner of BigAss Ports
skittlesRgood
it should be bolted on. the bolts will be under the spider so you cant get to them unless you cut out the cone and spider. you would need a recone kit. lucky178
Kinda figured it wasn't repairable. next question is why would i need to take it to a shop to verify it is "non-operational"? I sent him an email with the video. I guess, I get burned on this deal.
STEvil
you could put the magnet back on, but lining it up might be a bitch.... how did it come off in the first place? Quote MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..." Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed. lucky178
you could put the magnet back on, but lining it up might be a bitch.... how did it come off in the first place? I got it like that either UPS dropped it or it was shipped like that. I honestly believe UPS did it. Before anyone asks, i paid for shipping, but, he shipped it so i had no option for insurance. IF i can align it, how would i secure it to the basket? Glue? What kind?
bassl0va
I'd use strong as heck epoxy. STEvil
epoxy or some of that "steel" glue. test the steel glue out first on something though as i've had bad batches of the stuff that never gets hard. likely that UPS dropped it.
