Boon
Could be a dodgy output filter... or dodgy input op-amp... or drive circuit on the way out. Are you sure it's the subs, not the amp itself humming? 10.x volts fo' life!

P4killer_
i had a SAZ1500D do this on me, exactly what you're describing soon after, she was kaput,,, look out edit: as soon as the remote clicked the amp on, it was like very quiet untill it was a constant noise a few sec after almost like a dog whistle Setup: 2010 Hyundai Elantra Factory Unit via 4 chan NVX LOC Excessive Amperage "H/O" Alt Xs D3400/ Xs XP3000 Big 3. 2 Runs of +, 2 Runs of - DD M3b and 2 12" AQ HDC4s
Bigg Boy
I had an amp start doing that, couple min after I noticed it, amp went and sent straight dc power to my woofers. Boon
That dog whistle sound is either a loose output transformer or the sound of high pressure smoke pissing out the side of your MOSFETs. Either way, not ideal. I dunno if this is what OPs problem is. Whistling amps don't last long. 10.x volts fo' life!
