I would do the AQ. It depends what impedance the sub is. The Alpine can only be wired at 2 ohms minimum IIRC. I like how the AQ has a gain knob and clipping indicator.

because like hdorre, it is 2000watts at 2 ohms, and in my experience gets warm really easily. Still awesome amps, but I believe the AQ is even cheaper...

What is the voicecoil configuration for the HCCA?

I'd definitely say AQ, just got me a 1200 too. They make some great stuff.

I used the alpine mrp500 up until today, solid amp. My vote would be for the 2k alpine but majority is going to go to AQ.

The clipping light is awesome on the aq, wish all amps had that.

been running AQ3500's for 2 years now without any issues. Solid ass amps for the $$$.

Unless the alpine is a lot cheaper I'd get the AQ...

aq is 389 shipped and the alpine is 420 shipped. the aq is the way to go
