Ok guys here is the question...i have the bose to my truck and it sounds very good. but i have had better. i have always swaped decks ran RCAs to the amps and then to hit the mids and highs i ran the speaker wiring back to the wire hareness to use the factory wiring to get to the stock locations. Then changed speakers there. Can i do that with the BOSE. And if I choose to not do all this and just change decks will i still have all the options as far as the distortion goes. because the louder I turn it up the it sounds like the system pulls out some bass so it wont distort. It has very good mids. ive always had highs and lows but never mids and now that this truck has the mids where u can feel the vocals i dont want to loose it. any ideas... thanks for the time guys...

If it's bose then it blows...

The only real upgrade u can do is change out the coaxials or components and get another amp. (if u only change one of those it will sound worse. )

We've had a few customers that wanted to keep thier factory head unit, but lose the rest of the Bose system. You can achieve that by using something like PAC's PCH8, Massive Audio's FLATLINE, or Rockford Foasgate's 3Sixty.1, or 3Sixty.2. A number of companies now offer some sort of converter like these.
