Yeah, I was worried about that since it flexed pretty bad with the blowthrough. But the MDF wall across the back is secured to the metal below the window and it really stiffened it up.

You should try subs forword and port up on the nxt box.

First change will be port forward, subs up. Maybe the other way down the road.

Thanks man...Well, it's a shit ton louder! As far as quality, it is less peaky for sure. I haven't done any fine tuning yet so I'm expecting it to sound better eventually.

I forgot to mention the box is about 10 1/2 cubes net, tuned to around 33hz.

OK, so I can't decide exactly how to do the battery tray. I thought I'd just start by making a base and figuring out how to secure it.

I cut a piece of MDF to fit in the floorboard. Drilled holes over the rear bolts for the passenger side front seat. Made this crude bracket. It ain't pretty but it is functional.

I covered the rough metal and screws with this stuff. It is roofing seam tape. It is like sound deadener but it has a soft rubber backing instead of aluminum.

Took the bolts out, lined up the bracket over the hole and bolted it back down.

I still don't know how I'm going to finish this.

OK. Decided to move it to the drivers side. Luckily I was able to just reverse the brackets to the other side of the board and flip it over. The holes lined right up.

Just built a basic box around the batt. Still need to do more wire hiding and make a piece to cover the blowthrough hole in the bed.

The new(used) sub amp is a Soundstream XXX6500D.

Loving this XS battery! Time to get this sucker on the meter.
