civichatch
tried 2 brand new sets of plugs. The first set i put in were brand new after 1 day i took them back and and were SUPER BLACK ( running to rich ). Im tempted to juts bring it to a honda dealer and say fix it. At this point i dont care about the cost. Because its a great motor. It runs strong above idle. So i know i didnt get a shit one. Amalan
sounds like a vacuum leak to me make sure you check all your vacuum lines and listen to the engine for any wisping my friend had the exact same problem, idled around 2k rpm and dumped black smoke, heres a vid of his car with the problem http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9GvI-_cdYk his car also dumped black smoke until he fixed the vacuum line
E a r t h
Hondas are well known for their idle problems. They're also very receptive to changes due to the '' speed density '' system they use. What ecu are you using? Usdm ecu`s run more rich, and jdm ones run leaner. Also, are you running the stock 240cc injectors from the d series motor? Are you running the stock fuel pump? Are you using a ''fpr'' fuel pressure regulator?
