I Need My Beat Down Low

so heres the thing , about a 6 month ago , i looked into getting a into the DD brand , so i rushed down to my local and only DD dealer and picked up a SVC DD 1015a . boasting a whole .. 400 Rms . It was all i could afford at the time , and also DD's entry level range woofers.

i need it to bump . i had it in my civic and it bumped hard . now that i have it it my hatchback , im not even dropping alarms no more ..

i pulled an old sealed box out of the garage the other day , droppped the DD in there and i must say , the bass is tight , sounds great on all music , but its lacking overall output .

the sealed box is 3.5cu external so probably around 3.3 internal excluding the woofer .

now ive playd with ported boxes and it seems to work well in a 4.8cu ft tuned to 32hz . in my civic , but that box does not do shit in the hatchback toyota .

So what i decided to do now is resin the inside of another box and do the 45's , coming in at about 4cu ft tuned to 35hz

what should i do ?

would resining the sealed box make any diff at all ?

ported box with resin in action 4 cu

3-5 cubed ported at 40hz ftw. larger the box the louder youll get it for the most part.

i know what ur saying , the black box is 4.1 cu tuned to 35

im doing the 45s now and resining the shit out of the inside

worse comes to worse you might have to build one. They aren't all that hard to build, and then you know they are taylored to you sub. and BTW ported is the way to go.

i know , but a low tuned enclosure doesnt always sound good with all music , especially not big woofers

on contrair...monair....i had 2 t1 15s tuned to 32 htz in a HUGE box and they sounded GREAT with music. there were few songs that didnt sound good but the rest slammed and were very accurate.

yeah , i know . but thats just it ..those song that sounded crappy , could of been great songs , but i suppose it sacrifice ...

how many coats of resin should i give the box inside ?

I am running a box tuned to 30Hz, and it plays alot of music very well, but IMHO I think 35Hz is a much more musical tuning.

i dont think id ever put a DD sealed, just goes against owner philosophy lol.
