And they are fairly stable at that level ? I think with my electrical system i shouldnt have any problems. Just wanted to double check, Is there a larger DTR model than that one ? I supose around 3000 RMS per lvl 5 18'' should be ok at a half ohm.

I was more interested in the quality of brand, Are they a good company / solid reputation ? Or are they just displaying thease low ohm loads to attract unsuspecting buyers ? I need somthing that will play daily at that level.

i know the dtr1400 manufacturers rated power is 450@4-900@2-1400@1 BUT only did @1.0%THD+N @ 12.6V>384@4-653@[email protected] @1%thd 14.4V >435@4-506@[email protected] @clipping 514@4-887@2-1341@1 ... so i'd say the 3400 would be no better in putting out what they say they are a good name and what not but with them i'd stick with ther subs! over the amps.. i have a pic of the test showen ther if ya want it .. just a heads up bro ... lookin to see how this build comes out ...... i love jimmys i wish mine was a 4dr tho

Well I can get 2 DTR 3400D's and run each lvl 5 18'' At .5 ohm, Even with 2800 RMS to each of them that should bang until i can find a better option for amplifiers. So it will do about 2800 RMS at .5 ohm off clean power ?

Maybe with my big electrical system charging it, It will be able to achive its true ohms without clipping, Who knows. Only time will tell. I will probably only end up getting them for the first year until my financial situation calms down.

Nobody else going to chime in that owns soundstream or has anything to say about them ?

It would help if we could get some more conversation going in this thread so i could make a propper choice for 2 amps or 1 amp to run thease subs.

The easy way is to ground it to your alternator backet assembly that is holding your alt in place. The best choice is probably where your factory ground came from the battery to the engine block.

Just follow it down and note where it is, Replace with 0 gauge.

I will have a video up in a few days of us repairing all our grounds & replacing the front battery with a kinetik HC 800. That way all the batterys in the system are kinetik & I will only need 1 more 2000 HC.

Do they even have a webpage ? I would be happy with 2 DTR 3400D's i just need to know if they are actually going to be stable at that level daily. Atomic sounds alot like stetsom, But i cannot find any webpage for atomic amplifiers.

I was going to say the atomic 5k but the 7k would be good to, idk about soundstream man, if your doing an all out build I would look into something a little better. But Im sure they will work well til you can upgrade... another option is rf 3k they will do like 3700 watts or sundown but they are spendy... kicker kx2500 will do around 3k each more then the soundstreams im sure and the kickers u can run at 2 ohms if you cant get a 1 ohm load...

and that 4 channel channel would work great mb quarts are reliable i hear, good lookin build so far. what are you going to tune to? are you building a wall? what numbers you aimin for?

They live ! They are also being shipped today. SWEET, MECHMAN YOU ARE THE MAN. Will have install video as soon as they arrive, & A Review of their abilitys as far as i can tell Until the woofers/Amps get here.

For woofers the choice is simple, DC audio. This time i am completing my dream witch i wanted to do in my car, But was too small of space in the trunk. I am doing 2 lvl 5 18''s & Going to try my damndist to keep the back seats.

I do not want to do a wall, So we will see what happens.

The other option is 2 lvl 5 15''s witch i am perfectly fine with aswell, So either way lvl 5's are going to be up in the house ! Due to budget restraints i might just be stuck with soundstream for now. I want to put alot of RMS to thease beasts & get them moving propperly. Atleast 2500 RMS each, preferablly over 3,000. That is why i was attracted to the 3400d1 Soundstream at .5ohms. 1 of those per sub would have been ugly if they put out that RMS

& are stable at .5ohm.

I am looking to tune to around 27hz, If i get the 18''s & if i get 15''s I am not entirely sure yet. After speaking to a fellow DC Audio lvl 5 owner, The enclosure is going to be built entirely of burch.
