burps 151 legal on dash at 30hz, clamped at at 2831rms and 3.7 ohms. my box rise is just retarded.

did some stuff in the car today.

first, i decided to move the enclosure in the car. i moved rearward a bit. it put the back a bit closer to the lift gate than i like, and it immediately impacted my numbers, but i did it so wasnt sitting in the grandma postition all hunched up on the stearing wheel.

i plan to do bass race with the song "beats 4 my van", which plays 32 hz. so i worked on the enclosure a bit, and got i peaking at 32 hz.

did some testing, and got some new results. worked a bit more, getting impedance rise down some and various other things. this is clamped at 2950 watts rms, and 3.1 ohms reactive. notice that the 32hz frequency is isolated at 156db. still cant wait to see what this sub does atleast running RMS power......... gonna be interesting. anyone who says that the smd isnt an impressive sub is full of shit. i can honestly say, this is the most efficient system ive ever had, as far as power vs output goes.

ill be doing amp and batts over the next month. keep in mind that everything so far is running off of a single optima blue top.

Cool. Yeah I have been following this build since you first posted it and I am very impressed with it especially since its not even done yet. Its only gonna get better so keep up the good work.

Edit= I was just wondering why you switched from the memphis 4k to the pb 4k? Both are nice amps is the pb more efficient or was it easier on the wallet?

the board in the pb 4k is nearly identical to that of the memphis 4k. it has a reputation of doing better at lower voltages, and is 1/3rd the price. also, i have spoken with many many competitors who have run both amps, and all have said the pb4k will put out rated power at 12volts, and that the memphis needs atleast 14volts to do rated.

keeping in mind that the absolute highest voltage ive ever seen in my car is 12.4 volts......... and that i still run the 7 year old stock alternator........
