computer desk build

this is my "first" official build of anything other than a simple speaker box, and first time working with fiberglass and bondo. i got the idea when i got sick of having crapy computer speakers not do any justice, and i dont have my own car yet so i figured why not.

i somehow missed a few pictures but here are a few of it all glassed up, keep in mind this is my first time with fiberglass so its not perfect. and i did get crap resin that was a thick gell and it ruined part of it, thats what the black on the left is.

Good luck. I'm not picking because it is your first try- just offering a bit of advice. Sanding that down and bondo-ing to be a nice writing surface will suck. Why not polyurethane a sheet of birch and makes speaker pods separate. Then screw the finished pods to the desk?

I wish you the best on it, just seems to be the hard way of going about doing it. Love to see more pics and work though

with the fiberglass cured i figured i should test fit...

havent figured out how to connect wires so i just ran them through the front for the test fit... i did have to hear how it sounds too.
