Big Papa
For my next box I want to use aero ports. Only problem is I never have before. I want something tuned to right around 35ish hz. The box dimensions are 26' wide, 14' high, and 25' deep. What size ports and how many of them would I need? Any help is greatly appreciated. Skullz
Aero ports can get away with as little as 7" to 9" per foot compared to the other types of ports used and if i'm not mistaken you add an inch more to the length of the aero port for tuning. fecupe2001
What sub? i need to know the displacement of the subs because they affect on the internal space of the box and tuning, i´m gonna say it´s 0.15 cubic feet for example, that box has about 4.2 cubic feet BEFORE displacement, i think it would end up been like 3.6 cubic feet?? if that´s the case, well aeroports are very efficient and don´t need to be as big as a slot, with 8-13 SQ per cubic feet should be more than ok. Said all that, 2 6" aeroports is kind of big but could work, if i were you, i would get 3 4" aeroports 18" long, that would give you a 35 hz tuning and around 11 SQ of port per cubic feet with a 3.6 cubic feet internal space after displacement Quote I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains.
