Have you tried hooking up a different speaker to the amp?

Could you take a video of the subs in action maybe?

I hooked up my old 15's but had a bass knob at the time and didn't set my gain properly. It still wasn't impressive. This is the most power I've ever had so I know something is wrong (my 2 15's and 400-500W amp sounded WAY better than what I have now. Very disapointing!)

My DMM does show 2 Ohms at the amp when the wires are connected. I was just playing my subs to see if I could figure what is going on. When I turn my volume up a little higher they start sounding like they should. Could it be that my gain is set too low (even though I set the voltage according to 1000W)?

On your hu is the subwoofer level set to max? or on?

You should turn you hu so its at maximum listening volume then adjust the gain while playing a deep ass bass song and turn it up so it distorts then back it down a tad

Another possible things is so simple you'll slap yourself if thats it........... make sure your RCA's are hooked to the sub out on your deck, and that sub mode is infact turned on, I bet I see this more than any other mistake............. It's simple, but we tend to get in a hurry when we're almost done, and overlook things...... just a thought

if you set your gains with a dmm and got the right voltage at the right impedance, then the power isnt the issue, the amp is putting out the power it should be

make sure the rca's are on the sub output and all that is configured right, but it sounds more like a box issue or something along those lines, if the power is going in then sound should be coming out

This is becoming my thought as well. I know it's putting out the voltage. I'm going to try and seal around the subs better to see if that helps. I know these amps put out more than the listed amount but I don't have a birth sheet for mine so that's why I used the voltage for 1000W. I'm sure I can get away with turning the gain up a little more. The box is built to the recommended volume for these subs.

I'm not saying there isn't any bass, but there is much less than what should be.

You're running a sealed box right? Are your subs in separate chambers? if not, you may be getting some cancellation. how is the RCA connection at the head unit? when one of my two RCAs came unplugged I had very little bass output. Maybe try unplugging the RCAs from the amp and putting the DMM on them to see if their voltages match up when at full tilt, you might have one crappy RCA in the pair.

Also when you go to drop a video on here, you just copy the youtube video URL and click the insert media in the reply box and paste it in there, it does the work for you.

Yes it is a sealed box and it does have separate chambers. I'll unplug the RCA's and test the voltage. The only thing is that my output voltage going to the subs is good.

Update: The RCA's are reafing the same so that's not the issue.

Did you adjust the crossover settings on the amp so that they don't affect the HUs crossover? Because you are using the HU instead.

This may be slightly dodgy, but what if you put the gain at max and then start off with the volume right down and roll up until you hit 5x.xx volts or whatever it was you had.
