So I need to wire to ~2ohm total load for each amp to see 1 ohm. I really appreciate you guys trying to help, this is my first experience with strapping amps and I don't want to fry something or void my warranty. VC's parallel/subs series, like so http://images.the12volt.com/12voltimages/3_1ohm_dvc_1.5ohm.gif

ok so ive never done parallel/series wiring configs but i gave it a shot

1.4x3=4.2/2 = 2.1/2 = 1.05 load each amp

:shrug: damn man im trying to help but im not really sure if im right lol

You're better at the math than me, hopefully someone will chime in and confirm/deny what you got.

Are they 1.4 ohm, or is that the DC resistance???

Get dual 2's, series the coils on each sub (4 ohms), parallel the three subs for 1.33 ohms. Each amp sees 0.67 ohms. No problem for those amps.

Current system:

1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s

Previous systems:

2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz.

1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz.

I've already got the subs, 1.4 vc. Reading 1.7-1.8 on the DMM.

So should I http://images.the12volt.com/12voltimages/3_1ohm_dvc_067ohm.gif

3- 1.4 subs puts you at 2.8 when wired in series thendivide that by 3 you get.933 that is the ohm load at amp then when you strapp them they see half of that so .46 as long as you have electrical you should be fine, i have my ddm4s at .35 and they play music all day but they will protect at 30hz and below if im railing on it. cause my imped drops when the box unloads all its air at least thats my theory
